I have known and worked with Al for approximately 25 years. During that time he has managed large wastewater design and construction projects, under my direction, for the Boston Water and Sewer Commission and others, both in the US and overseas. He is an excellent hands-on engineer and a skilled manager of people. Al knows how to motivate project teams to get jobs done on time and on budget. He would be a credit to any organization. 

I have to credit Encore's Grand Opening to all who where involved and particularly Al who through thick and thin, change orders, redesign, traffic management, implementation kept on the critical path to make an opening date which some felt was fictitious. The $11 million traffic mitigation improvements were vital to the Projects success as well as a huge betterment to the residents of Boston ( Charlestown in Particular) as well as surrounding Communities.  He was vital in securing funding for our submarine cable which connected our signals under the Alford Street Bridge. Al was always a fixture in the State Police Command Center at times from sun up to sun down. I would not think twice of hiring Al for his outstanding knowledge as well as commitments in making deadlines while working with all individuals involved with a Project of this magnitude.   

Al and I worked together at an engineering firm many years ago, and for the last few years my firm provided roadway inspection services to the Encore project, where Al lead the transportation and roadway design efforts.  Al is an excellent manager both technically as well as managing staff, schedules, and client expectations.  He works above and beyond what is required, and is able to build a team and atmosphere that keeps staff, consultants, and management happy.     

As Marketing Specialist at Tetra Tech Rizzo, I was afforded the opportunity to work with Al on countless projects and pitches. His  ability to build relationships with clients as well as co-workers is outshined only by his engineering knowledge and innovation.
